The leadership highlighted the gross human rights violations those are being perpetrated upon Kashmiri men, women and children alike on daily basis. The leadership raised the issue of Articles 35A & 370 (which protects the economic, social, cultural and property rights of the State Subjects of Jammu & Kashmir guaranteed to them by the 1927 Jammu & Kashmir notification and adopted by the Indian Constitution under the process of the so-called temporary accession) with which the fascist government of India is attempting to repeal through the ruling of the Supreme Court of India. 

The leadership declared that this issue shall be effectively raised with the Brussels politics, EU politics (including the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Council), the EU member states capitals, the EU Delegations in India and Pakistan, the United Nations (with the General Assembly, the Security Council and HRC), Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, other inter-governmental organisations, the relevant think tanks and human rights organisations. 

The leadership believes that the nefarious designs of the RSS – BJP combine to change the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir with the long-term intention to subvert the outcome of the promised plebiscite of Kashmiris. “The International Campaign is carved out to ensure that the RSS – BJP joint venture is defeated”, the leadership asserted.

The leadership concluded by announcing that a London based legal team has been engaged to examine the possibility of bringing this matter before the English Courts bearing in mind that the United Kingdom is directly involved with the Kashmir issue. 

The Kashmiris leadership was joined by the European diaspora representatives from different parts of Europe in support of the campaign. 

Prior to the conference, the leaders had a long day meetings with MEPs, political party group advisers and the EU policy makers and interaction with the community at a community get together.
